To help communities assess their training needs, we have put together some questions you can ask yourselves to determine if training will meet your needs, or if there is some other kind of assistance we can offer.
- Domestic
Violence Training for Local District Staff
This is a learner focused, performance based and highly interactive training. It is designed for line staff, supervisors, and administrators who work in Temporary Assistance, Child Support Enforcement, and Employment.
- Domestic Violence Liaison
Training Institute
Institute training is provided in collaboration with the Professional Development Program, Rockefeller College, University at Albany.
- Domestic Violence Training for Homeless Shelter Staff
This training has been designed in accordance with basic instructional design principles. It is learner focused, performance based and highly interactive. The training is limited to the NYC Division of Homeless Services and Homeless Shelter Staff. -
Domestic Violence Regional Trainings
These training opportunities are held periodically as the need arises to update Domestic Violence Liaisons on new policy and initiatives regarding the Family Violence Option. These trainings provide valuable feedback to State agencies regarding local district implementation of the Family Violence Option, best practices and issues of concern. Trainings are scheduled by OTDA.
